Last week I traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona. The first time I have been in Arizona and I was ready for a little Vitamin D and rest and relaxation in my life! The trip was a mix of business and pleasure… business in that I was a guest of Dr. Lori Ebert on the Sextacular You podcast (which is available on iTunes and was broadcast live on Facebook) and I met up with Marissa Malfolz, the CEO of SYLK lube, of which I am a huge fan. But pleasure in the sense that I got away for a few days and took a couple minutes to enjoy my life and the sunshine.
First thing I notice when I arrive is that there are men everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Hot men. In groups. Groups of hot men roaming the streets of Scottsdale. It was unbelievable. In the open air bars, at restaurants, at brunch, walking down the streets. Groups of amazingly good-looking, young men. According to the bartender at my hotel, Scottsdale is the new hotspot for bachelor parties (third only to Las Vegas and Austin). Plus the NCAA tournament is being played there right now and it’s Spring Training season for baseball. It’s like the perfect storm…
So if you know me, you know I love men. Especially younger men. So I should have been like a kid in a candy store and I kind of was. This as near to Mecca as Anne will ever get (seriously the pool scene at my hotel was on par)! But here’s the thing. I could have easily met up with someone here for a one night stand. It’s not like I haven’t done that before. But at this point in my life, I want to have the best sex ever. And best sex ever is most likely not the result of hooking up with a hottie on vacation (P.s. – there is nothing wrong with that!).
Sometimes sex is good when you first sleep with someone, but usually it takes some practice and familiarity and trust. It’s not as easy as putting body parts together (I wish it was!). Plus any hookup situation there, would have been drunk, sloppy, messy sex. People were seriously drinking at 9:00 a.m. And drunk, sloppy sex is fun sometimes. It’s super easy to get naked and have sex. But not gratifying for the most part. And let’s be clear. I am about amazing orgasms. For all women. Now.
Are you disappointed in my lack of escapades? Don’t be. I had wonderful few days in the sun. Talking about my passion for women over 40 to be having amazing sex with nice, respectful caring men is my mission. And bringing my message to Dr. Lori’s audience was a fantastic opportunity to spread my message to a much wider audience. And I got to enjoy looking at some hot men. And I got some sun. And relaxation.
If you haven’t heard my interview with Dr. Lori, check it out. It was real and raw.
